TACLOBAN CITY: A magnitude 4.4 earthquake was felt in parts of Leyte and Samar provinces on Thursday (Sept 17), with the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reporting no expected damage or aftershocks.
Phivolcs said the tectonic earthquake struck at 3.59pm, with its epicentre traced to Leyte, Leyte.
The quake was felt at Intensity III in Kananga and Villaba and at Intensity II in Alangalang and Ormoc City, all in Leyte.
It was also felt at Intensity I in San Jorge and Villarreal, both in Samar.
Phivolcs said no damage or aftershocks were expected from the earthquake. - Philippine Daily Inquirer/ANN
