Brunei Scouts celebrate Sultan's 80th birthday

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: The Baden Powell (BP) Guild of the Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association kicked off the nightly celebration in conjunction with the 80th birthday celebration of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah with a lively performance at the Tamu Perayaan at Tudong Saji, Belait District.

Belait District Scouts Commissioner, Muhammad Suhaili, the guest of honour, was welcomed by BP Guild’s Chief Coordinator Beelie Tengah.

In his opening remarks, Beelie explained that the Cultural Night performance aims to celebrate His Majesty’s birthday through a series of musical and dance performances that express loyalty and appreciation for the monarch.

In addition to the BP Guild members performing on stage, the nightly performance also featured performers from Panaga Primary School, Pengiran Setia Jaya Pengiran Abdul Momin Primary School, and Yuanji Association.

The nightly performances start at 8pm each night led by groups and agencies from across the Belait District. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
