BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: The Belait Youth Association (Pembela) reached out to 11 underprivileged families nationwide, as part of their humanitarian initiative known as the ‘Nour Mahabbah Wa Ihsanul Amal Project’, aimed at delivering contributions and goodwill.

The project targeted families affected by a recent barracks fire in Lorong Tiga Selatan, Seria, as well as families in the Belait and Brunei-Muara Districts requiring support, particularly during Ramadan and in preparation for the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.

The families impacted by the fire received donations including clothing, curtains, kitchenware, bedsheets, and blankets.

Each affected household also received a Ramadan aid pack containing essential goods and food items for breaking fast.

Meanwhile, Ramadan aid packs were also distributed on March 7 to underprivileged families across the Belait and Brunei-Muara Districts.

The association also distributed Aidilfitri aid packs on Tuesday to six underprivileged families in Kuala Belait and Seria.
