Raising funds for orphans in Temburong, Brunei

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: A Charity Walkathon for the Temburong District Orphans Fund was held at Pekan Bangar Wharf Area, Temburong District on Sunday (Dec 14), in conjunction with the ‘Ke Temburong Bisai Programme – Borneo Bike Gathering Edition’.

The programme began with an aerobics session, followed by a walkathon covering a distance of more than two kilometres, and continued with a friendly tug-of-war competition.

The event concluded with a prize presentation ceremony for the winners of the competition.

Acting Director of the Prisons Department Bahrin Mohammad Yassin was the guest of honour.

Legislative Council member Awang Sulaiman Nasir and Acting Temburong District Officer Hassan Baha Umar were also present.

The walkathon was organised by the Village Consultative Councils of Kampong Sibut and Sumbiling, the Bokok Consultative Council, and the Village Consultative Councils of Kampong Labu Estate and Piasau-Piasau. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
