SHANGHAI: A woman in China who suspected her husband of infidelity clung to the back of his truck to follow him until being found by the police.
A traffic police officer in Bachu county in Xinjiang, northwestern China, stopped a small-sized truck one evening at the end of March after noticing a woman hanging herself outside the trailer of the vehicle without any protective equipment, the Xinjiang Legal Daily reported.
The truck driver, surnamed Yu, was surprised to see that the woman, who is his wife, was tied to the back of his vehicle.
The woman confessed to the police that she suspected her husband was having an affair. When he was driving the truck to leave home, she secretly clung to the trailer as an effort to stalk him.
Yu was fined 200 yuan (US$30) and had three points deducted from his annual 12-point record because he failed to check its condition before driving it.
Jealous guy
A man in northeastern China suffered an emotional collapse and said he was preparing for divorce after he discovered that a male obstetrician had performed a check-up for his pregnant wife.
According to a viral video taken at the end of March, the man made a scene at the Changchun Gynaecology and Obstetrics Hospital in Jilin province, even hitting his head against a wall, the China News Weekly reported.
He was filmed pointing at his wife and saying: “Someone saw her sensitive parts. I cannot live with her any longer. I will divorce her tomorrow.”
“I must take this matter seriously,” the man added. “I do not want to live. I must die in this hospital today.”
Hospital staff tried to comfort him and asked him to sit on a wheelchair and gave him oxygen to inhale.
A hospital official told the media that a female colleague was present throughout the examination.
Patients can choose the gender of doctors when they make appointments, the official said.
“It is common to meet with male anaesthetists or male surgeons when you visit our hospital. Doctors do not care about your gender, they only focus on treating you,” she said.
One internet user said: “This man is sick in the head.”
But another person sided with the husband: “I would also not accept a male stranger seeing my wife’s genitals I do not think this man is too sensitive. He is just protecting his wife.”
Ring a dentist
The predicament of a Chinese woman whose finger turned black and blue because her ring was too tight was relieved by a dentist after firefighters failed to cut it off.
The woman in Wuhan, central Hubei province, initially turned to firefighters on March 26, according to a report by Jimu News.
Due to the fact that the ring was very hard and the woman’s finger was seriously swollen, firefighters failed to remove it.

Then, a senior dentist from a major hospital in the city managed to cut off the ring by using a minimally invasive instrument.
The woman’s blood circulation then gradually resumed and relieved the pain in her finger, the report said. - South China Morning Post
