After making waves with his debut solo single ‘Suka Kamu’, Malik Choo is ready to win hearts once again with his brand new song, ‘Apa Saja’.
His latest release and its official music video are set to drop on all major streaming platforms on October 31.
Written by Mambang, ‘Apa Saja’ celebrates gratitude, devotion, and the lengths one goes for love. And Malik Choo, during a special press conference with the media, also dedicated the song to his loving mother.
The song reflects on the joy of how it feels like to have a partner who stands by your side through life’s ups and downs, and the promise to give everything in return – to do ‘Apa Saja’ for love.
Malik’s new single reunites him with longtime collaborators Altimet and Cuurley. The trio previously worked together on ‘Kita Jaga Kita’, the uplifting anthem that became a rallying cry for Malaysians during the pandemic, amassing over 10 million views on YouTube. With ‘Apa Saja’, they’re once again channelling that same energy into a song about strength and commitment.
At the heart of the single is its memorable chorus, “Apa Saja Untuk Kamu”, a simple yet strong declaration of unconditional love, resilience, and the willingness to put everything on the line for someone truly special. “This song is really personal to me. It’s about appreciating the person who stands by you through everything, and showing them you’d do anything, ‘Apa Saja’, for that kind of love,” says Malik.
The emotions behind the lyrics come to life in the music video, directed by Azarikh and starring Malik alongside actress Nasuha Sulaiman, who also appeared in ‘Suka Kamu’. The video visually portrays the lengths one would go for love, blending heartfelt storytelling with striking visuals.
‘Apa Saja’ is Malik’s second single that’s supported by the DKK Industri Muzik Dana Kebolehan Pasaran (Domestik 2.0) grant, with backing from MyCreative Ventures and KKMM.
