Thai agency pushes for first gaming law in Asean to curb hidden gambling


BANGKOK: Thailand is advancing a Game Industry Promotion Act which, if passed, would be the first specific game legislation in the Asean region.

A primary goal of the act is to regulate and curb "hidden gambling" features in games, such as lucky draws and randomised points systems for prizes.
