BANGKOK: Police in Thailand have arrested a Russian who was filmed having sex with a woman on a moving pickup truck on the Thai resort island of Phuket.

The 23-year-old man – identified only as Georgii – was arrested on Thursday (Sept 25) at Suvarnabhumi airport in Bangkok as he was attempting to leave Thailand, the Bangkok Post reported.

Police said Georgii is believed to be the man seen in a 15-second video that went viral across Thai social media late on Sept 24.

The video shows him and a woman, both naked, having sex at the back of a black pickup truck cruising down a road in Phuket.

The woman in the video was later identified as a 42-year-old Thai who works in Phuket, according to the Bangkok Post.

She said she was paid 1,000 baht (S$40) to appear in the video that she was told was meant for Georgii’s Russian viewers.

Police said the Russian is an adult content creator, having had a history of posting explicit videos on social media. - The Straits Times/ANN
