Brunei explores future of drones


BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: The Institution of Engineering and Technology Universiti Brunei Darussalam On-Campus organised a technical talk ‘Exploring the Future of Drones in Brunei’ in Kampong Kiulap, drawing participation from current and aspiring engineers.

The session aimed to provide students and participants with a deeper understanding of drone technology in Brunei, highlighting both its opportunities as well as its limitations in today’s landscape.

The talk focussed on current drone technology – overview of the drones available in Brunei; industry realities – advice to students to approach drones as an engaging hobby; applications and careers – outlining areas where drones are actively being applied; and a practical demonstration showcasing commercial-level capabilities and accessibility for hobbyists. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
