BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Residents of PN Kampong Panaga ‘A’ conducted a cleaning campaign on Saturday (July 5) to clear the pedestrian footpath along Jalan Kenawai.

Organised by the Village Consultative Council (MPK) of PN Kampong Panaga ‘A’, Village Head Muhammad Nurzairie Abdullah Peter led the initiative.

The group cleared patches of overgrown grass from the footpath to ensure it remains safe and accessible for public use.

Speaking to the Sunday Bulletin, Muhammad Nurzairie said the campaign aimed to encourage residents to conduct recreational activities such as walking or jogging safely by using the pedestrian footpath instead of the road, which is dangerous.

He hoped the effort will also inspire greater cooperation among residents while raising awareness on the importance of maintaining the village’s cleanliness for the benefit of the community. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
