PHNOM PENH: Cambodia set to bring the ongoing border disputes with Thailand to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on Sunday (June 15), with Prime Minister Hun Manet reaffirming Cambodia’s commitment to seeking arbitration in the international court ahead of a critical meeting of the Cambodia-Thailand Joint Boundary Commission (JBC), Saturday (June 14).

The meeting, the first in 12 years, comes amid heightened tensions following Thailand’s decision to unilaterally impose border restrictions on June 7. Cambodia has made it clear that two key issues — specific border disputes at four areas and the border closure — will not be on the JBC agenda.
