Legendary K-pop group Infinite thrills Malaysian fans with breathtaking display at the Mega Star Arena KL

ON a night every seat in the arena was taken, legendary K-pop group infinite did not disappoint their ever-loving fans with a superb display of style and panache in a thrilling never-to-be forgotten concert at the Mega Star Arena KL on Saturday (Feb 22) night.

Tickets were sold out the day it went on sale on Dec 13 itself and more than 4,000 eager fans were filled with excitement waiting for their stars from South Korea.

The 15th Anniversary Concert Tour celebrating Infinite’s music was brought to Malaysian fans by event management company - Star Planet and AllStar Sports.

Despite missing out one of their members, Kim Sungkyu, who could not make it to the concert as his elder sister had died and he needed to be with the family on Saturday, the show was one heart-stopping affair.

The missing absence was not felt as the supergroup from South Korea were at their element as they belted out their top hits and fans were rooting for them throughout the night.

Infinite captivated the audience with their powerful stage presence and infectious live performances.

Additionally, the members showcased their individual talents with unique solo stages, demonstrating their growth as musicians over the past 15 years.

Their superhits “Be Mine”, “The Eye”, and “Nothing’s Over”, even send the fans into a big frenzy as the full house was in wave with the Korean boys.  The fast tempo songs of “Last Romeo”, “Paradise”, and “The Eye” also shook the arena as fans were seen dancing away to the up tempo beats.

The crowd was also thrilled as the group's interaction with the fans were extremely down-to-earth and that saw many, many fans even singing along with all the songs from the group.

The encore from the group was also just unforgettable as they displayed the lyrics in the big screen and wanted all the fans to sing along with the boys in their final performance.

Following three sold-out shows in Seoul, Infinite’s comeback tour has become a global phenomenon.

With soaring demand and immense fan anticipation, this tour has electrified major cities worldwide, including Taipei, Macau, Jakarta, Singapore and Yokohama. And if the KL show is anything to go by — it is indeed a must-see event that many fans are waiting with much anticipation as they wrap up the tour in Hong Kong.

With their signature synchronized dance moves, impeccable vocals, and captivating stage presence, Infinite has shown once again why they remain one of K-pop’s most iconic groups.

From Sungkyu to Dongwoo, Woohyun, Sungyeol, L and Seongjong, Infinite has delivered some of K-pop’s greatest hits and earned more than 30 major awards, including Best Male Group and Best Dance Performance at the Mnet Asian Music Awards, and the prestigious Bonsang Award at the Seoul Music Awards.

Infinite in a media release said: "For the past fifteen years, thank you to Inspirit for always being by our side. This tour is our sincerest gratitude to all of you. In the future, we will continue to work hard and bring you even better music."

For the record, Infinite is a South Korean boy band formed in 2010 by Woollim Entertainment. The group is composed of six members: Sungkyu, Dongwoo, Woohyun, Sungyeol, L, and Sungjong. Originally a seven-piece group, Hoya departed from the group on August 30, 2017.

In 2014, Infinite became the first Korean act to top Billboard's Emerging Artists Chart.

Infinite are known for their highly synchronized dancing and choreography as well as their live vocals. They have also endorsed several brands including Samsung and Pepsi,and were the ambassadors for UNICEF's 2012 Birthday Campaign. The group was also placed within the top 20 on the Forbes Korea Power Celebrity 40 rankings in 2013 and 2014.
