Free rides on LRT 3 route extended until Aug 14

PETALING JAYA: Free rides on the LRT 3 Shah Alam route, which links Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam and Klang, has been extended until Aug 14.

In a statement on Friday (July 31), Rapid KL said the extension would allow more users to familiarise themselves with the new route while promoting public transport as their preferred mode of daily travel.

Commuters using the route will also be able to use feeder bus services and Park N' Ride facilities at no charge.

Rapid KL said the extension was expected to help reduce commuters' daily travel costs while increasing public confidence in the efficiency and comfort of the country's public transport system.

It also encouraged the public to plan their journeys in advance and comply with all regulations and guidelines to ensure smooth and safe travel.

Rapid KL added that thousands of commuters had benefited from the free service, describing the response as encouraging.
