Langkawi: Southeast Asia's jewel welcomes Asean diplomats


The logo for the Asean - Malaysia Chairmanship 2025 was installed at the Langkawi International Convention Centre in Langkawi, Kedah. The Asean Foreign Ministers' Retreat, which commences this Saturday (Jan 18) on the holiday island, will officially mark the beginning of the Asean meetings under Malaysia’s chairmanship. LANGKAWI: (Bernama) As Flight MH1432 prepared to touch down at Langkawi International Airport on Wednesday (Jan 15), the announcement over the intercom served as a poetic prelude to the wonders awaiting its passengers.

Among the travellers were a significant number of government officials, identifiable by the emblems on their shirts, hinting at the importance of their visit.
