MANILA: Pia Wurtzbach meets Pia Wurtzbach in Singapore? Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach came face to face with her very own wax figure at Madame Tussauds Singapore, igniting excitement among fans and visitors alike.

Expressing her delight on Instagram, the Filipina beauty queen shared snapshots of the momentous occasion, expressing gratitude to fans who flocked to Singapore to witness the unveiling.

“Singapore, that was so much fun!” she exclaimed, reminiscing about her pageant days. “Thank you for coming to Madame Tussauds (especially those who flew in for this!). Everyone was such a trooper for being so game with all the activities.”

Affectionately dubbed “Pia 2” by the queen herself, the wax figure will grace Madame Tussauds Singapore until Sept.1, sparking speculation of a potential global tour. Playfully teasing, the global fashion icon hinted at future adventures, saying, “World tour next?”

The actress and author’s wax counterpart is a testament to her Miss Universe legacy, following her historic debut in Madame Tussauds Hong Kong in 2019 as the first Filipino wax figure, adorned in her iconic Michael Cinco royal blue ball gown she wore during her turnover in 2016.

Expressing her excitement for the chance to engage with fans through her wax figure, the advocate and TV personality conveyed her enthusiasm via Madame Tussauds Singapore news release, stating, “I’m really excited that I get to share another moment with P2 and have fun with my fans, this time in Singapore. I hope they enjoy interacting with my ‘twin’ and getting their own crowning moment.”

Elaine Quek, Head of Sales and Marketing at Madame Tussauds Singapore, hailed Wurtzbach’s remarkable achievements, recognising her impact as a Filipina advocate, actress and TV host.

“Pia is an outstanding woman (with) many achievements in life,” Quek remarked.

“We are happy to have her figure (in our museum) and hope many would take this opportunity to not only witness the amazing likeness but also admire the craftsmanship.” - Philippine Daily Inquirer/ANN
