VIENTIANE: Laos' Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism is hoping that more than six million Lao and foreign tourists will take trips in Laos in 2024.

The ministry sets an ambitious plan for 2024 to attract over 2.2 million domestic and about 4 million international visitors and earn about US$1.3 billion, Lao News Agency reported on Tuesday (Feb 13), quoting Deputy Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Vansy Kuamua.

In 2024, the authorities plan to advertise Visit Laos Year in Lao, English and Chinese languages and to produce tourism information brochures for distribution to travellers.
