Inflation in Laos remains high in December despite numerous govt’s attempts to control it

VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN): The inflation rate in Laos averaged 31.2 per cent for the whole of 2023 despite the government’s many attempts to lower the cost of goods and services to single-digit figures.

Price rise remained high in December at 24.4 per cent, down from 25.24 percent in November, according to a report from the Lao Statistics Bureau.
