HANOI, Oct 16 (Bernama): Ho Chi Minh City in southern Vietnam reported six more cases of monkeypox in one week, bringing the total number of cases to 19, Xinhua quoted Vietnam's Health Ministry media statement.
Ho Chi Minh City is quarantining and treating 12 cases of monkeypox, all of whom are in stable health condition.
In Vietnam, monkeypox is a group B infectious disease.
Since the first case was detected in September 2022, Ho Chi Minh City's Department of Health has ordered the Centre for Disease Control and other health facilities to strengthen prevention and control among communities. - Bernama
