Brunei’s job market sees growth but challenges remain, says economic ministry

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): Brunei witnessed a slight increase in its employment rate, rising from 4.9 per cent in 2021 to 5.2 per cent in 2022, according to the recently released Labour Force Survey Report 2022, conducted by the Department of Economic Planning and Statistics under the Ministry of Finance and Economy.

The positive trend indicates progress in the country’s labour market compared to the higher unemployment rate of 7.3 per cent recorded in 2020.
