BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Brunei is hosting Asean regional meetings on micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the capital from Oct. 19 through Oct. 23, bringing together officials to discuss initiatives to support digitalisation, sustainable practices and access to new markets.

According to the press release issued by the Brunei Economic Development Board (BEDB) on Tuesday (Oct 20), the 22nd Asean Coordinating Committee on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Meeting and Related Meetings are jointly organised by Brunei's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the BEDB.

Mohammad Yusree Haji Junaidi, Brunei's Deputy Permanent Secretary on Primary Resources and Tourism under METI, said regional cooperation must help MSMEs access new markets, meet changing market requirements and connect with buyers and partners across regional supply chains.
