‘No forced abortion’: Chinese pop idol Cai Xukun insists fling with fan was ‘proper relationship’, denies girl was a minor at the time


A sex scandal swirling around Chinese pop idol Cai Xukun appeared to deepen this week as he broke his silence about accusations that he coerced a woman to have an abortion after a one-night stand.

The controversy has led to his music videos being removed from state broadcaster CCTV’s video streaming app and TV broadcasts involving Cai have been suspended.
