Plan to relocate Thai factories to industrial estates on track

BANGKOK (The Nation/Asia News Network): The Industry Ministry is planning to push domestic manufacturers to relocate their factories to industrial estates to enhance business operations and minimise the environmental impact caused by factories.

“We want to see entrepreneurs move their manufacturing bases to industrial zones, be they the industrial estates under the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) or the industrial parks under the Department of Industrial Works,” Nattapol Rangsitpol, the Industry Ministry’s permanent secretary, said on Monday (June 12).
