Myanmar, Thailand hold bilateral talks in Phuket, pledge stronger cooperation on border security and transnational crime

BANGKOK: A bilateral meeting between the foreign ministers of Myanmar and Thailand was held in Phuket on Wednesday (Feb 18), with discussions focusing on strengthening cooperation and enhancing joint efforts to combat cross-border crime.

The meeting was led by Myanmar’s Union Minister for Foreign Affairs, Than Swe, and Thailand’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sihasak Phuangketkeow, in Phuket.
