Laos and Thailand discuss reopening of four borders checkpoints


VIENTIANE, Feb 7 (Laotian Times): Deputy Governor of Vientiane, Phounkhong Bannavong met with the Thai Permanent Secretary for Commerce, Keerati Rushchano on his visit to Laos earlier this month, to discuss the possibility of reopening four borders checkpoints connecting Laos’ capital and Thailand’s Nong Khai.

During their meeting, Phounkhong expressed that Thailand should quickly reopen four border checkpoints connecting Vientiane and Nong Khai – one local checkpoint, and three other customs checkpoints.
