Traditional vaccines like Sinovac may prevent severe disease in Covid-19 patients: Study


SINGAPORE (The Straits Times/Asia News Network): Though often considered inferior due to their induction of a lower antibody response compared with their mRNA counterparts, inactivated virus vaccines can play a role in preventing the development of severe Covid-19, a recent study has found.

This could mean that a combination of the two vaccine types may offer better protection against the coronavirus, researchers said, noting each had its own advantages.
