Two live pythons being smuggled into the republic in a polystyrene box in a lorry from Malaysia were seized at the Tuas checkpoint.

In a joint statement released yesterday, the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) and National Parks Board (NParks) said that ICA officers found the pythons hidden in the box in the cabin of the Malaysia-registered lorry, which was transporting cement.
