Malaysia to keep border shut, says senior minister


KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 27 (dpa): Closed since March, Malaysia's border will not reopen after the country's current Covid-19 (coronavirus)-related curbs end on Aug 31, the country's top security official said on Thursday.

"We are not ready to relax what is being enforced at the moment," Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob (pic) said during a press conference in the capital on Tuesday (Aug 27).
