BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Xinhua): Brunei authorities found 143 offences related to disobeying Covid-19 safety guidelines in the first 10 weeks of de-escalation period, the country's Ministry of Health said on Wednesday (July 23).

According to the ministry, following the enforcement patrols and monitoring conducted by the Health Enforcement Unit, the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Royal Brunei Police Force and the Ministry of Home Affairs, a total of 143 offences were found under the Infectious Diseases Act (Section 204) during the first 10 weeks of the reduction of social distancing measures, where 13 premises were issued compound fines.
