Myanmar says it will only accept China loans if interest rate is low

YANGON, June 26 (Eleven Media Group/ANN): The government will not take loans from China as the interest rate is high.

But the Finance ministry will seek the parliament's approval for loans from China when the projects are implemented in cooperation with China and the interest rate is low, said deputy Minister for Planning, Finance and Industry U Maung Maung Win.

The minister said this while replying to the question raised by a reporter at a press conference on the fourth-year performance of the ministry.
