Condo panel head wins RM200,000 in slander suit


GEORGE TOWN: A former condominium management committee chairman was awarded RM200,000 after winning a defamation suit against a previous committee member who had defamed him in multiple e-mails two years ago.

K. Suppayah, 67, was ordered to pay former Regency Heights management committee chairman Keith Richard Judd with a 4% interest per annum from the day the suit was filed until the day of judgment was passed, and a 5% interest per annum from the day of the judgment until it is fully paid together with RM20,000 in costs.
