PETALING JAYA: British American Tobacco Malaysia (BAT Malaysia) has announced an increase in prices of all its cigarette brands.
As of the today a pack of cigarettes will go up by a ringgit, depending on the brand carried by BAT Malaysia.
BAT Malaysia managing director Stefano Clini said the increase was necessary to cover operating and production costs.
He added that this was especially since the company had suffered losses caused by illegal trade and stiff competition.
