Carousel & Co, a lifestyle carnival-inspired rooftop social entertainment spot, opens its doors in KL, a first in Asia

Global skill games leader HB Leisure (HBL) has marked the official opening of Carousel & Co, a carnival-inspired rooftop social entertainment and dining venue in the heart of Kuala Lumpur City Centre.

Following a soft launch in December 2025, Carousel & Co is now officially fully open, strengthening the city’s pipeline of experience-led attractions and adding a fresh option for people looking to do more than just sit at a table. Built around the promise of “Play, Drink, Eat”, the venue brings together giant skill games, food and drinks in one social-first destination at Avenue K, in the heart of KLCC.

The official opening announcement was made during a media conference attended by Cik Nurhuda Dini Mohd Nasir, Assistant Director of Tourism Malaysia (Central Regional Office) present, reflecting the growing role of urban experiences in shaping tourism in Kuala Lumpur and supporting Visit Malaysia 2026 priorities.

Backed by a RM25 million investment from UK-based HB Leisure, Carousel & Co marks the group’s first social entertainment concept in Malaysia and a regional springboard for future global expansion. This signals a long-term commitment to Kuala Lumpur as a launch market, positioned as a scalable concept for wider growth across the region and beyond.

Spanning 18,000 sqft, Carousel & Co is designed as a multi-zone venue where groups move between games, seating and dining areas with ease. The concept is rooted in the global shift toward competitive socialising, where the main event is not just the scoreboard, but also the shared experience.

The place is also built for tourists hoping for a different kind of fun time out in Kuala Lumpur, social groups, after-work meetups and corporate teams looking for a more energised alternative to the typical dinner-and-drinks format.

“We wanted to build something that gives people a proper reason to stay out a little longer,” said Greg Pearn, Head of New Concepts at HB Leisure. “Carousel & Co is about grown-up fun, big games, bold drinks and the kind of competition that makes people stay for just one more round.”

At the centre of the experience are nine technology-enabled, larger-than-life skill games designed for quick rounds, big reactions and easy participation, even for first-timers.

Guests can expect a line-up of classic carnival games such as Pearl, Corn Cascade, Roll Fast, High Flyers, Snack Attack, Hoop Hustle, Chips Ahoy, Feeding Frenzy and Hoofers. Each game is designed to keep groups moving, mixing, and coming back for “one more go”, whether it’s a first date, a big group outing, or a team night out in the KLCC area. Tickets are sold starting at MYR60 per adult, with an entry age recommended at 18 and above.

Located in the heart of KLCC, directly above the city’s busiest LRT station, Carousel & Co. is designed to serve city workers, urban socialisers, tourists and corporate groups looking for something beyond the usual bar or dining format.

As Kuala Lumpur continues to evolve its city-centre tourism offering under Visit Malaysia, Carousel & Co adds a fresh layer to how locals and visitors spend their evenings and weekends by offering a spot where people stay longer, play together and come back with friends.

“City-centre experiences play an important role in how visitors plan their stay in Kuala Lumpur,” said Cik Nurhuda Dini Mohd Nasir, Assistant Director of Tourism Malaysia (Central Regional Office).

“Attractions such as Carousel & Co. add depth to the KLCC area by encouraging visitors to spend more time in the city centre, extend their evening activities, and consider an additional night in Kuala Lumpur. This supports Visit Malaysia 2026 by strengthening the capital’s entertainment offering and enhancing the overall visitor experience.”
