US-Malaysia ties stronger due to 'kerjasama', says Obama

KUALA LUMPUR: US President Barack Obama said he and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak had been strengthening relations the past few years in the "spirit of kerjasama (co-operation)".

Obama, speaking at the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) townhall meeting at Universiti Malaya here Sunday, added Malaysia played a central role in the Southeast Asian region and would continue to do so.
