PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) is opposed to the idea of having surgeons performing medical procedures such as amputation under hudud as it is against medical ethics.
Its president Datuk Dr N.K.S. Tharmaseelan said surgeons were not allowed to perform any form of operation or amputation on patients without their consent.
