Samsung has unveiled the latest addition to its midrange smartphone lineup with the Galaxy A18. The Galaxy A18 features a 6.7in Amoled screen with a 1080x2340 resolution.
Sitting on the back of the device, the Galaxy A18 has a triple-camera system with a 50-megapixel main wide-angle shooter, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
There's also a 13-megapixel front-facing teardrop selfie camera positioned at the top of the screen. Under the hood, it has a Helio G99+ processor and a 5,000mAh battery.
Other features include an IP64 water and dust resistance rating, NFC support, up to 2TB expandable storage with a microSD card, and promises six major operating system updates and six years of security updates.
It is worth noting that the device supports up to 4G connectivity, meaning that it will not be able to connect to the 5G network.
The Galaxy A18 comes in Black, Light Blue, and Silver, with two storage configurations to choose from: 4GB RAM paired with 64GB internal storage (RM999) or 6GB RAM with 128GB internal storage (RM1,199).
Based on the Samsung online store page, the 4GB model appears to be available only with the Black colour option.
Samsung is also offering customers who purchase the device before Dec 31 an RM100 rebate and an included 25W power adapter worth RM89.
