Apple has unveiled the new iPad Mini (2026), powered by the A20 Pro chip, in a thinner and lighter design.
Sporting an 8.5in OLED display, Apple claims it can deliver higher contrast and twice the peak brightness at 1,200 nits compared to the previous generation of iPad Mini models.
The new tablet measures 5.4mm thick and weighs 255g for the WiFi model and 263g for the WiFi with cellular model.
At the back of the device is a single 12-megapixel wide camera lens, while the display side has a landscape-oriented 12-megapixel Center Stage front camera.
When it comes to performance, the A20 Pro chip features a single 16-core Neural Engine on the 128GB and 256GB models, and a dual 16-core Neural Engine on the 512GB model.
For battery, Apple claims the device can deliver up to 10 hours of web surfing or watching videos on WiFi and is able to charge up to 50% in 30 minutes with compatible power adapters.
Other features include an IP67 rating for dust and water protection, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6, and 5G connectivity for the cellular model.
Available in either Midnight or Starlight, pricing starts at RM2,999 for the WiFi model and RM3,699 for the WiFi with cellular model.
Pre-orders for the iPad Mini start on Oct 29 and will be available in stores from Nov 6.
