Apple has introduced the Apple TV 4K (4th generation), powered by the A19 chip, which allows users to stream content, play games and access apps on their television.
According to the company, the chip delivers up to 50% faster CPU performance and twice the GPU performance compared with the previous model. It also features a dedicated AV1 decoder designed to support high-quality video streaming while using less bandwidth.
The device comes with a Siri Remote (4th generation) featuring a touch-enabled clickpad and voice recognition. Users can also use Apple's Find My feature to locate a misplaced remote by triggering a sound.
Apple has also introduced the HomePod mini 2, a compact smart speaker measuring 84.3mm tall. It features a mesh exterior, touch controls and a woven power cord.
Powered by Apple's S10 chip, the speaker uses computational audio technology to adjust dynamic range, loudness and acoustic output in real time. It supports 360-degree audio and can be used on its own, in a stereo pair or as part of a multiroom audio setup.
A new feature, Sound Glow, uses the speaker's top surface to display light animations that respond to music in real time. The lighting colours are matched to the album artwork of the song being played. Users can also select soundscapes, such as rain, to activate corresponding animations.

The Apple TV 4K (4th generation) can be paired with two HomePod mini 2 speakers for stereo sound or four speakers to create a surround-sound setup. The system detects the speakers' positions in the room and automatically adjusts audio timing and levels.
The Apple TV 4K (4th generation) is priced at RM1,349 and will be available in stores from Nov 13. The HomePod mini 2 costs RM649 in either White, Pink, Blue, Green, or Midnight colour options and will go on sale on Oct 30. Pre-orders for both devices begin on Oct 15.
The two products are part of Apple's Home Collection, a range of smart-home devices that also includes the Apple HomeView.
The HomeView features a 7in Liquid Retina display connected to a domed speaker base. Apple said it combines entertainment, communication and smart-home management in one device.
When paired with an Apple Intelligence-enabled device, it can display information from apps such as Calendar and Messages, as well as support FaceTime calls.
However, the HomeView will not be available in Malaysia. Apple has listed Singapore, South Africa, Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States among its markets.
