Apple has unveiled its foldable iPhone Duo with a 7.6in display, claimed to be the thinnest iPhone with the largest display yet, clocking in at 50% larger than the 6.9in iPhone 18 Pro Max.

The new Duo has a 5.4in outer display, with the company boasting that it offers more than 90% of the screen area of the 6.3in iPhone 18 Pro.

The larger display supports Split View multitasking, allowing users to open two apps side by side, or have two views of the same app – such as viewing the calendar app both by month and by day. Users can also quickly swap between apps and save pairs of apps to come back to later.

The company also states that the inner display is made of 10 ultra-thin layers with a custom nano‑texture finish that is claimed to reduce glare.

Camera-wise, the Duo features a dual rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel ultra wide camera and a 48-megapixel main camera with a 2x Telephoto feature, while the front display features a 12-megapixel Center Stage front camera. A FaceTime camera is also available under the inner display, where the company says it stays hidden when not in use.

The device is equipped with the latest A20 Pro chip, promising an advanced thermal management system and longer battery life. The company claimed that an iPhone‑first dual battery system allows users up to 31 hours of video playback on the inner display and up to 44 hours of video playback on the external display.

The new iPhone Duo is available in two colours, Star White and Night Sky, priced at RM9,499 for the 256GB storage option, RM10,499 for 512GB, RM12,499 for 1TB and RM15,499 for 2TB respectively.

Accessories include the iPhone Duo Case, priced at RM319 in Navy Blue and Sand.

Pre-order starts on Oct 16, with availability from Oct 23.

Alongside the new foldable Duo, Apple also unveiled the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, both similarly powered by the A20 Pro processor.

Both devices feature a triple-camera system, consisting of a 48-megapixel main shooter, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 48-megapixel telephoto camera with up to 8x optical zoom.

The iPhone 18 Pro has a 6.3in display and comes in four internal storage configurations: 256GB (RM5,499), 512GB (RM6,499), 1TB (RM8,499), and 2TB (RM11,499).

Meanwhile, the iPhone 18 Pro Max has a 6.9in screen and also has four storage options: 256GB (RM5,999), 512GB (RM6,999), 1TB (RM8,999), and 2TB (RM11,999).

Apple's selection of candybar-shaped smartphones also comes in the same selection of colours, made up of Burgundy, Silver, Glacier, and Black. Pre-orders for both the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max open on Saturday (Sept 12).
