Poco has unveiled its F9 Series of smartphones, consisting of two new models, the F9 Ultra and F9 Pro. The top-of-the-line F9 Ultra model features a 6.9in Amoled display, capable of up to a 185Hz refresh rate.
On the back of the device is a triple-camera system with a 200-megapixel main shooter, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens. Both the 200-megapixel main and 50-megapixel telephoto cameras feature optical image stabilisation (OIS).
It also has a 32-megapixel hole-punch selfie camera positioned at the top of its screen.
Powering the device is a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor alongside an 8,050mAh battery that charges at 100W over cable and 50W wirelessly.
Poco says the F9 Ultra can achieve up to a 100% charge in just 50 minutes when charging over a wire, and up to a 50% charge in 37 minutes when charging wirelessly. It also supports reverse charging at 27W wired and 22.5W wirelessly.
The Poco F9 Ultra comes in two colours, Black and Dark Cherry, with three storage configurations: 12GB RAM with 256GB of internal storage (RM3,599), 16GB RAM with 512GB (RM3,999), and 16GB RAM with 1TB (RM4,799).
When it comes to the Poco F9 Pro, the device is equipped with a 6.59in Amoled display with up to a 185Hz refresh rate.
Similar to the Ultra model, the F9 Pro has a triple camera setup with a 200-megapixel main shooter with OIS, a 50-megapixel telephoto sensor with OIS, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera.
There's also a 32-megapixel hole-punch selfie camera on the device's screen side.
Under the hood, the F9 Pro has a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series processor and a 6,330mAh battery, which is also capable of 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
Poco says the device can achieve up to a 50% charge in 19 minutes wired and in 35 minutes wirelessly. It also supports reverse charging at 27W wired and 22.5W wirelessly.
Other features on both devices include an IP68 water and dust resistance rating, NFC support, and artificial intelligence (AI) super resolution upscaling for mobile games to achieve higher-fidelity visuals.
The Poco F9 Pro comes in three colours, including Black, White, and Aurora Green. It is available in two storage configurations, with either 256GB (RM3,299) or 512GB (RM3,499) internal storage and 12GB RAM.
Both smartphones in the lineup are available for pre-order until Sept 16, with early buyers eligible for freebies, including a Poco Pad C1 with the F9 Ultra and a Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro with the F9 Pro.
