Google's newest addition to its midrange lineup, the Pixel 10a, will be debuting in Malaysia on March 5, with some tweaks over the previous model, along with some other artificial intelligence (AI)-powered enhancements.
Like last year's Pixel 9a, the 10a features a 6.3in OLED display with up to a 120Hz refresh rate, but now with a higher peak brightness of 3,000nits. This is up from 2,700nits on the 9a.

The similarities between generations don't end there, with the Pixel 10a also featuring a 48-megapixel main wide shooter and a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera. It also has a 13-megapixel hole-punch selfie camera on the front.
Alongside the AI features of the Pixel 9a, the Pixel 10a adds a camera coach, which provides guidance in the form of on-screen instructions on how to frame shots when enabled. This includes suggestions on how to position the subject of a shot based on the user's preferences.

Under the hood of the device is a Google Tensor G4 processor powered by a 5,100mAh battery, which the company says can achieve over 30 hours of battery life.
The device supports 30W fast charging (up from 23W on the Pixel 9a) and can reach 50% charge in about 30 minutes. It also offers wireless charging at up to 10W.

Like last generation's model, Google promises a minimum of seven years' worth of support for operating system and security updates, along with an IP68 water and dust resistance rating.
The Pixel 10a will be available in four colours: Lavender, Berry, Fog, and Obsidian, with pre-orders starting on March 5. Only a single storage variant will be available in Malaysia, with 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage priced at RM2,299.
