Xiaomi has unveiled the Redmi A5 smartphone, a budget device with a large 6.88in display and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.

The Redmi A5's camera setup features a 32-megapixel AI Dual camera on the back, along with an 8-megapixel teardrop-shaped selfie camera.

Under the hood, the device has a UNISOC T7250 processor and a 5,200mAh battery powering it with 15W fast charging. The Redmi A5 supports up to 2TB of expandable storage via a MicroSD card.

It further features a fingerprint sensor on the power button and facial unlock. Unlike most other modern smartphones, it also has a 3.5mm audio jack.

The Redmi A5 is available today in Midnight Black, Sandy Gold, and Ocean Blue colour options and comes in two storage variants, a 64GB model with 3GB RAM priced at RM299 and a 128GB model with 4GB RAM priced at RM349.
