Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have developed a system of QR codes that are invisible to the naked eye, enabling 3D-printed objects to be tracked. This system has a wide range of everyday applications, from identification of products in the event of theft to a tool used in the creation of virtual reality video games.

QR codes are everywhere in our daily lives, whether they're enabling us to take advantage of a discount coupon, access various information (menus, contact details), encode details of a transport ticket or register a Covid-19 vaccination certificate.
