Amazon manager stole nearly RM46.70mil and bought home, cars, US feds say. She’s prison-bound


While working at an Amazon warehouse in Smyrna, Georgia, the woman recruited others, including an Amazon loss prevention employee and a senior human resources assistant, in a fraud scheme that also involved her girlfriend’s assistance to steal more than US$9.4mil (RM43.90mil), officials said. — Reuters

A former Amazon operations manager – dubbed the “mastermind” behind a scheme in which nearly US$10mil (RM46.70mil) was stolen from the company – is going to federal prison, US prosecutors announced.

Now she owes the company US$9,469,731 (RM44.22mil) in restitution, according to the US Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia.
