5GCroCo is a European innovation initiative that aims to conduct cross-border 5G connectivity tests to ensure uninterrupted service provision for autonomous cars. With the help of operators, this has now been demonstrated to be effective.

In the future, 5G should enable autonomous cars to communicate with each other so that they can not only drive without any human assistance, but also avoid any risk of collision. But what will happen once a border is crossed and access to the domestic network is cut off?
