Grab is piloting an insurance package which, for 35sen a ride, offers higher personal accident coverage and a guarantee that riders will be compensated RM5 for pickups that are more than 15 minutes late. — AZHAR MAHFOF/The Star

Commuters can soon be compensated RM5 if their rideshare pickup is 15 minutes late, as Grab starts measures against driver delays.

The new feature is part of an opt-in Ride Cover insurance package that provides a 100% No Delay Guarantee and Personal Accident Insurance, at the cost of an additional 35sen a ride.
