With the new Maps feature, rolling out in November, you'll be able to click on a loudspeaker symbol next to an address or place name to get the app to pronounce it out loud for you. — dpa

Google is trying to make it easier for us to speak to locals when abroad by adding its translation tool to the Google Maps app.

Say, for example, you're travelling in Japan and want to ask locals how to get to a certain place of interest, but don't know how to say it in Japanese.
