Spotify testing in-app podcast creation feature

Spotify is testing a feature that would encourage subscribers to create their own podcasts. — AFP Relaxnews

On Aug 26, highly reliable software engineer Jane Manchun Wong, known for reverse-engineering popular apps, reported that Spotify is testing a "Create podcast" button designed to encourage subscribers to make their own podcasts through Anchor.

Through 2019, Spotify has been working to establish itself as a podcast streaming service as much as a music streaming service. Earlier this year, the company acquired Gimlet and Anchor, both of which are industry leaders in the podcast market and will help Spotify fill up its podcast library.
