The dates for next year's VivaTech – which will be the event's fifth anniversary – have been announced.

2020 will mark the fifth year since Viva Technology's inauguration; to celebrate the event that makes Paris the tech capital of the world for three days, next year's conference is expected to be bigger than ever, taking place June 11-13.

By the numbers, VivaTech 2019 drew about 124,000 visitors, 3,300 investors, 13,000 startups, and 450 speakers who represented approximately 125 countries.

Compared with the very first conference which kicked off in 2016, the number of visitors has increased 16-fold and 13 times as many startups attended. Each year, the conference, organised by Publicis Groupe and Groupe Les Echos, draws prominent figures to explore what's up-and-coming in the industry including French president Emmanuel Macron, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, and Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau.

If the attendance trend continues, the 2020 edition could be the biggest conference yet – based on the visitor growth rate over the years, VivaTech 2020 could bring in over 150,000 visitors.
