Coming soon in less than a month on March 26, 2019

In less than a month, Huawei will be introducing in Paris possibly the best camera smartphone of the year – the Huawei P30 series.

Not long ago, Huawei Global announced the launch date of the P30 series on their official Twitter account that amped up anticipation towards what will be coming next for the upcoming P30 series.

Huawei has always been innovative – from collaborations with Leica to the introduction of the world’s first triple-lens camera. Take a look at Huawei P30 leaks thus far:

The Huawei P series has always been the flagship product of Huawei focusing on photography. Ever since the collaboration with Leica in 2016, the Huawei P9 series redefined the meaning of smartphone photography with the introduction of a dual-lens camera setup. The dual-lenses enable users to capture a bokeh effect image by blurring the background – imitating the image quality of professional DSLR cameras.

In the last few years, Huawei has invested a lot of effort, time and money into innovating smartphone photography. Just last year, Huawei achieved a level high with the advent of Leica co-engineered triple-camera lenses with a 40-megapixel main camera feature – once again elevating the quality of smartphone photography. Images of the galaxy, traffic trails, light graffiti, silky water and super slow mo, just to name a few, are now made possible with the Huawei P series – all with just a click.

In terms of low light capabilities, the Huawei P20 Pro is the first device in the world that can capture images in low light conditions of up to ISO 102,400 sensitivity – capturing a subject in darkness that even the naked eye can hardly see. In view of that, there’s no doubt that the Huawei P20 Pro has received a lot of significant awards from the media and was recognised as the top camera smartphone on DxOMark, scoring the highest-ever mark of 109.

Now that all Huawei's upcoming smartphones will be powered by the Kirin 980 – Huawei's proprietary mobile AI chipset – AI-photography is never easier.

Richard Yu’s super moon image showcasing the zooming power of Huawei P30 series

Recently, with the occurrence of the super moon during the Chap Goh Mei celebrations of the Lunar Chinese New Year, Huawei Technologies Consumer Business Group CEO Richard Yu released an image of the moon on his Weibo account, where a watermark of the next Huawei P series was printed on the image.

Understandably, professional camera equipment is required to take such a detailed close-up shot of the moon. From the watermark, we are able to recognise that this could be the Huawei P30 series. And the greater news than this is, it may come with a quad-camera setup.

Right after the Mobile World Congress 2019, Huawei Consumer Business Group vice president of handset business Bruce Li released a few images depicting the zooming capability of the next smartphone, which could be taken from the Huawei P30 series. The images show a great disparity of distances from far to near – demonstrating that the next smartphone can capture a subject that is very far away without compromising the quality of the image.

Huawei P series launch always has amazing goodies up for grabs

In addition, Huawei Malaysia will usually offer amazing goodies to launch a brand new smartphone. During the launch of the Huawei Mate 20 series in October 2018, Huawei gave out wireless chargers, Huawei Sound Stones, DJI Tello drones, as well as Mate20 VIP cards worth over RM10,000.

What can we expect from the Huawei P30 Series? Let’s wait for the unveiling of the best camera smartphone on March 26, 2019.
