Consumers struggling to avoid the fashion faux pas of wearing the same outfit as a stranger due to mass market clothing can now customise T-shirts via Cozmic Lab.
Developed by Web Bytes Sdn Bhd for local clothing retailer LOL, the Cozmic Lab platform allows users to add digital designs to their apparel, then have it printed and ready within the hour, to be picked up at select LOL stores.
Web Bytes CEO Ooi Boon Sheng said the platform is part of a drive into New Retail technology which gives customers an individualised experience when shopping.
Currently, customers can only order their tees via an in-store programme at select locations, with the T-shirt also being printed there.
The programme lets customers choose their tee's colour and add graphic designs from partner franchises like ShoPro's Doraemon, and then place it on the shirt. Customers can resize the graphics or also add text.
Web Bytes reveals that in the next few months users will be able to make custom orders online and pay for it before going to the store.
It is mulling whether to provide delivery of the tees or require customers to pick up in store. Currently, LOL brand apparel are available online through Lazada.
The Cozmic Lab customisation service is available at LOL stores in IOI City Mall in Putrajaya, Sunway Pyramid, Sunway Velocity, Berjaya Times Square in Kuala Lumpur and Paradigm Mall in Johor Bahru.
